02 / AI PRIVACYPre-release

Haven.

A local privacy layer for AI prompts.

Haven runs on your own machine and replaces identifying details with placeholders before prompts reach an AI provider. When a reply returns, it can restore those details locally.

  • Recognises names and other personal identifiers
  • Supports OpenAI and Anthropic API formats
  • A local audit log of counts, without prompt content
For evaluation with fictional data.

Haven is pre-release. Its README advises against use with real patient data. Automated detection can miss identifiers; review the documented limitations.

BEHIND THE FROG

Made with curiosity.
Shared with everyone.

Purple Frog is the home for software projects by Brian, an independent maker in Ireland. This is where the ideas come together — and where you can find what each one does, try it out and follow its development.

A FEW USEFUL DETAILS

Before you jump in.

Where do I start with Coded?

Open Coded and enter a public GitHub username. You can explore the resulting profile and share its link. The project documentation explains what the public data can and cannot tell you.

Can I use Haven in my browser?

Haven is a local tool, rather than a hosted chat service. It runs on your computer and connects to an AI provider through its API. See the quick-start guide for Docker setup and requirements. Use fictional data while evaluating this pre-release.

How do I report an issue or suggest an idea?

Use the issue tracker for Coded or Haven. Check each repository’s security policy before reporting vulnerabilities, and keep private information out of public issues.
